The recipe is simple — make the gujiya mix, knead the dough, fill the mix in the dough and deep fry them. Gujiyas are similar to karanjis that are made on Diwali. However, the filling is different and made with khoya.

Thandai Is A Tradition

Thandai is a sweet milk-based drink and an essential drink to have on Holi. It is flavoured with a mix of almonds, fennel seeds, rose petals, cardamom, pepper, saffron, poppy seeds and watermelon kernels. Well, this is the traditional thandai recipe. But, Chef Sanjyot Keer has tried making four different flavours of thandai — classic, KitKat, pan and mango. In his video, he has shown how to make thandai syrup in detail. And most importantly, this thandai syrup can be used in different flavours of drinks. For instance, you can use this syrup and make a mango-flavoured thandai which can be stored for a month.
