Dubai is known for multiple things, but one thing that the emirate is the proudest of is the world’s tallest building – Burj Khalifa. And now this hotel in Dubai has built a replica of the world’s tallest tower out of gingerbread. Sounds deliciously exciting, right? Well, here’s everything you should know.
It Took Over 250 Hours To Make This Masterpiece From Scratch
The H Dubai has created this masterpiece after working on it for more than 250 hours. The massive gingerbread Burj Khalifa is on display in the hotel’s main lobby. It was created and sculpted by the hotel’s culinary team, led by chef Nilesh Darekar and pastry chef Heirida Marica. For the model, the planning for this gigantic model began back in October. Made solely out of gingerbread and icing, the secret to this gingerbread architecture is the icing, which is core to the tower’s structural integrity. On this impeccable masterpiece, Chef Nilesh said,
“The Burj Khalifa is iconic to Dubai and a symbol of hope, progress and prosperity. During a challenging year, we wanted to make December a month to remember for our guests and we thought it would be a great way to express the property’s holiday spirit.”
Last Year, The H Dubai Had Made Gingerbread Interpretation Of Sheikh Zayed Road
Well, the chefs have made sure to add everything related to Burj Khalifa. They have added miniature supercar models parked around its gingerbread entrance. It’s also decorated with nutcracker soldiers, Christmas trees, wreaths and winter garlands.
For the formation, this is not the first time that the hotel has made something as creative as it. Last year, they had crafted a gingerbread interpretation of Sheikh Zayed Road. However, The H Dubai is not the first hotel to render the Burj Khalifa in biscuit form. The Address Dubai Marina erected a 14-metre tall gingerbread version of the tower at Dubai International Airport in 2017.
