Nizam’s in Kolkata sells over 30 kinds of kebab Kathi rolls. It is said that the then owner of Raja Hasaan Saheb served a foreigner meat wrapped in a paratha. He covered it in wax paper to avoid drippings and this the Kathi roll was born.

What’s In It?

The name ‘Kathi’ evolved from skewing the kebabs on skewers to perfection. There’s even cast-iron tawa from the 1900s, that weighs 290 kgs.
