If you’ve flown in flights, you know that there is one kind of sandwich that many flights serve as a standard. The coleslaw sandwich may appeal to some but if your palate is desi, you may have found such options lacking in taste, diversity and even flavour. The CEO of Edelweiss, Radhika Gupta, certainly feels this way. She recently sent out a heartfelt request to all of the airlines. Read on to know what it is.

Radhika Gupta Asks Airlines To Serve Indian Breakfasts Instead Of Boxed Sandwiches

Radhika Gupta recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called for all airlines to stop serving boxed coleslaw sandwiches. She said that such items may have been suitable for foreigners but are not very palatable to Indians.

She then went on to say that there are a number of Indian breakfast options that are delicious, healthy and have a long shelf life. Such items can be seamlessly incorporated into the menu. She then gave an example of how when travelling, most people carry items paratha and leftover sabzi which are convenient, healthy and delicious.

She ended her post by saying that the airlines should spare everyone from the sandwiches. Her post, which was only shared a few hours ago has gotten a lot of comments.

This Is How The Netizens Reacted To The Post By The CEO

While there were a number of people who agreed with her, there were some who pointed out that many airlines already serve Indian breakfast options. Some even said that anything served on a plane is not healthy and hence, the food should be avoided whenever possible.

Many even said that apart from Chewda, Indian breakfast options are not as viable as the sandwiches they serve and hence, the switch doesn’t make fiscal sense for them.
