This Is The Boldest Step Ali Fazal Has Taken In His 15 Years Of Acting Career!

Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, met ‘Guddu Bhaiya’ aka Ali Fazal on the episode of Tere Gully Mein. Throughout the episode, we drove him to some of the authentic Japanese hotspots in Mumbai and made him try some delicious sushi, ramen, and more. As we were driving and discussing his love life, we asked him to share the boldest step he took in his 15-year career. Here’s what he revealed.

Ali Fazal Opened Up About His Acting Career

The versatile actor, Ali Fazal, has done some amazing work in Bollywood films like 3 Idiots, Fukrey, and the notable series Mirzapur. His character in Mirzapur left a lasting impression on audiences, and the series gained immense popularity worldwide. Paving his way internationally, the actor delivered impressive performances in Hollywood projects as well, like Furious 7, Victoria & Abdul, and more. Ali Fazal has been in the acting industry for 15 years, and we asked him about the boldest step that he has taken in his acting career. To which he replied, “Mirzapur, and when I took it, everybody was like, ’Don’t do it; we don’t know that market (web series).'”

For Ali, moving from the film industry to the series has been his boldest step. When he was introduced to Mirzapur’s script, he had just taken his first steps into Hollywood. And, because of that, he knew what was working on the other side. He believed that Mirzapur’s story was very rooted and grounded. He said, “An actor’s life is filled with bold steps, and not taking one is itself a form of rejection.” Following Mirzapur’s massive success in India and abroad, Ali revealed that the series is now being adapted into a film. “It’s going to be the first of its kind in India, where a show turns into a movie,” he shared.

The Japanese Food Trail Continues

The next stop on our Japanese food trail was Mirai: Japanese & Korean Dining. Here, we were welcomed in an authentic and traditional Japanese style. As we entered, the staff greeted us by saying ‘Irasshaimase,’ which is a traditional Japanese way to welcome guests. Over some sushi, ramen, noodles and more, Ali opened up like never before.
