This Is The One Time Vishnu Manchu Felt Nervous In His Life!

For an Andhra-style Sunday Brunch, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, sat down with South India’s famous actor, Vishnu Manchu. At the Banana Leaf in Mumbai, the duo relished some of South India’s staple dishes like Neer Dosa, Benne Dosa, Pulusanna and more. Vishnu opened up about his acting journey, his father Mohan Babu’s legacy, his kids and his newly released film, Kannappa. As he was talking about the film, he shared an instance where he felt a bit nervous. Read on to find out what it was.

This Is When Vishnu Manchu Got Nervous

Vishnu Manchu shared that his kids acted in his film Kannappa, and proudly mentioned that his daughter sang the Telugu version of the song Sri Kalahasthi and even danced to the song. Not just his daughter, his son Avaram also acted in the movie, and that’s what made Vishnu nervous. He shared that he usually never gets nervous and prefers to stay calm, but his son was the ultimate reason behind his nervousness.

They had flown from India to New Zealand for the shooting of the film. And during the shoots, actors tend to do a single shot two to four times, which made his son a bit bored. His son told him that he was sleepy and wanted to go back to the hotel. With a shocking expression, Vishnu said, “It was like an electric shock to me. You know, the whole unit was waiting there, and he was just 4 years old when we were filming it.”

That moment truly made him nervous, and that’s when the legend Mohan Babu stepped in to handle the situation. Mohan Babu came up with a clever trick and bribed his grandson with a 10$ bill. He told him to do the shot in exchange for the money, and immediately, Avaram’s sleepiness flew away, and he agreed to shoot. “That little rascal, for the next four days that we were shooting those 10$ bills, kept going to him after every shot. That little rascal was the biggest blackmailer I found,” Vishnu said laughingly.

Vishnu Manchu loves kids and even shared that he wanted to have more. However, his wife disagreed and jokingly told him to ‘‘find someone else’’ if he wanted more children.

His Go-To Spots In Hyderabad Are..

When Kamiya asked where Vishnu Manchu would take her if she visited Hyderabad for a day, he had the perfect itinerary planned. He said that he would start the day with breakfast at local spots known for serving spicy dosas and idlis. For lunch, he’d take her to some of the best local joints famous for their biryani. And for dinner, his go-to choice would be Asian cuisine.

He also mentioned that he’d treat Kamiya to a visit to Hussain Sagar Lake in the evening to enjoy the beautiful scenic view. Vishnu Manchu prefers all the iconic, legendary spots in Hyderabad, so the itinerary for the next Sunday Brunch episode with him is all set.
