The Bollywood star, Kajol, met our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, to enjoy the delicious Bengali cuisine at Oh! Calcutta in Mumbai. She opened up about her life, children, recent movie, Maa and more. While enjoying the wholesome Chingri Malai Curry, Bhetki Fish Fry and other famous Bengali dishes, Kajol revealed that there’s still one travel experience she’s eager to tick off her bucket list. Read on to know about it.

The One Travel Experience Kajol Hasn’t Tried Yet

As Kajol was enjoying her meal, Kamiya asked whether she had ever gone on a solo trip. Kajol replied, “I haven’t been on a solo trip, and that’s another thing on my list that I have to do, and this year I have to do that.” Many people had even advised Kajol not to opt for solo trips, saying that it’s not the best idea and that she would get bored with her own company. But she believes, “No… I really won’t. There’s always a phone, and we can never be alone when we have a book or something in our hand, so how will you ever be alone?” Kajol is all set to go on a solo trip and fulfil one travel experience she hasn’t had yet.

She even loves to read books and can go on reading them for days. She totally immerses herself while reading a book and can finish one book in a day. She said, “I have zero social life because of it, and you have to be way more interesting than the book I’m currently reading, so that I could get up and leave my room.” Clearly, for Kajol, a good book is the ultimate escape that even social plans can’t compete with.

She Gave One Advice To All The Mothers

Kajol shared that she demands a lot of things as a mother. She even tells her kids that she has produced them, so they have to give her hugs and kisses on demand, and they don’t have a choice but to comply. When Kamiya asked if the same goes for Ajay sir too, she replied, “One look is enough, kuch bolne ki zarurat nahi hai.” Kajol gave a strong message to all mothers out there. She believes that a mother doesn’t always have to wear a smile; she needs to show her children that she has emotions, too. A mother’s emotions are fragile, and when she begins to express them, her children will treat her with more care and understanding. Kajol also shared that whenever she’s in doubt, it’s her own mother she turns to for guidance.

We then moved on to try some Bengali desserts. Can you guess which sweet is Kajol’s favourite? Watch the full episode on the Curly Tales YouTube channel.
