Most of us have come across a worm or two while washing our veggies, right? Maybe a tiny insect inside a cabbage leaf or a little bug crawling on a tomato. It’s gross? Yes, but it happens. Since fruits and vegetables grow in fields, surrounded by soil and rain, worms and other creatures are bound to crawl into some produce. But what if you cut open a vegetable and a scorpion crawls out? That’s exactly what happened to Abhinit Kaur Chawla. Watch the video below!
A Woman Cut Open A Capsicum And Found A Scorpion
Recently, something truly shocking happened in one kitchen. A woman named Abhinit Kaur Chawla, who runs the popular Instagram page @AbhiCuisine, shared a video that’s now going viral for all the right (and scary!) reasons. She was filming a regular cooking video in May, preparing to make something with capsicum. Everything seemed normal until she cut open the vegetable.
She found a live scorpion in the capsicum. Yes, you read that right. In the video, she points at it and says, “Dekhiye kya dikh gaya… bichhoo, yaani ki scorpion.” Initially, she thought it was lifeless. But when she gave it a little nudge with her knife, it began to move!
“Yeh kaafi poisonous aur dangerous hota hai,” explaining that scorpions can be dangerous and even poisonous. She added that while it’s common to find worms in fruits and vegetables, this was on a whole other level. She guessed that maybe there was a small hole or crack in the capsicum through which the scorpion entered. But honestly, the entire experience left her shaken.
Netizens Were Shocked And Fearful
The initial response by netizens to this video was mostly shock. Many people commented on how disturbing it was to find a scorpion inside a capsicum. One user exclaimed, “OMG, that is so scary and it’s still alive.” Some even confessed that the video had unlocked a new level of fear.
Many users even urged others to adopt extra precautions and said, “That’s really shocking! Just a reminder to always wash and inspect veggies thoroughly before cooking.” “Ohh! Yes, now it’s rainy season, so be aware,” said one netizen, reminding everyone that this season brings such challenges for food safety.
This incident reminds us that no matter how clean that vegetable looks on the outside, it’s always smart to wash it well and check carefully, especially during monsoon season. So the next time you’re chopping veggies, especially capsicum, make sure to check them properly before eating.
