In the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, we met the talented young actress Avneet Kaur and enjoyed a delicious vegan meal with her. While we were waiting for our food, our Editor-in-Chief Kamiya Jani asked the Punjabi girl what a typical Sunday brunch at her household looked like. Here’s what she said.
Sunday Brunch At Avneet Kaur’s Home
Avneet Kaur was born in Jalandhar and later moved to Mumbai to pursue her journey as an actor and performing artist at the age of 8. And as they say, you can take a Punjabi out of Punjab, but you can’t take Punjab out of them! Avneet proved this when she revealed what a Sunday brunch at her home looked like.
“Humar ghar pe toh Sunday brunch is Aloo ke parathe, chole bhature, rajma chawal…yeah saari cheeze hoti hai, and I love eating it all! Main toh bahut zyada khaati thi…do-do parthe khaa jaati thi, par ab thoda kaam kar diya hai,” she admitted with a big smile.
She further added, “I used to eat a lot of junk food–burgers, pizza, fries, everything! When I switched, I saw a lot of differences, like I was more energetic, was more active throughout the day. The skin looked better, less bloating…all these important things. More than anything, skipping junk food made me realise the importance of being healthy.”

What She Misses The Most About Jalandhar
While we were enjoying the delicious Sunday Brunch, we had to ask Avneet Kaur an important question–what did she miss the most about Jalandhar? “Inska toh koi better answer hi nahi hai–food! Punjab ka khana is the best, honestly. I miss that. The last time I went, I ate chole bhature, aloo parathe, tikki, chaat, pakode, bhajiya…sab kuch khaya,” she happily reminisced.
