We were welcomed to Govinda’s expansive Juhu residence for this week’s Sunday Brunch. Sunita and Tina Ahuja, the mother-daughter duo, welcomed us lovingly. Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, was charming and had a conversation that was fun and engaging. A substantial supper of Makke ki Roti and Sarso da Saag was served, which truly looked tempting. While talking, Sunita Ahuja told us about some lessons her mother-in-law taught her. Let’s find out about these teachings!
Here Is What Sunita Ahuja Learnt From Her Mother-In-Law
Tina told Kamiya that neither of her parents ever looked dishevelled. “They are always put together. The Ahujas like putting in that effort. They like to dress up,” said Tina. And that’s where she gets it from. Even if Tina has to go to a mandir or a gurudwara nearby, she makes sure she has her hair done up properly and everything.
Sunita Ahuja further told Kamiya that this is something she learnt from her mother-in-law. She elaborated that when she was a newly married woman in the Ahuja family, she would get ready every day with gold bangles, sindoor, and everything. Her mother-in-law would say, “Ghar ki laxmi, Laxmi ki tarah lagni chahiye,” and this is what has taught her to always be mindful of the way she presents herself. To this, Kamiya added that she (Sunita) did look like a goddess in her red saree. And we certainly agree with this sentiment!
Tina Ahuja Admires This About Jeetendra Ji
As the conversation on this topic continued, Tina said that this is something she loves about Jeetendra Ji, too. She narrated an incident, telling us about the time she went to the temple with Govinda. During their visit, they spotted Jeetendra there, in all his heroic glory! She said that even though he’d just come to the temple for darshan, he had sunglasses on and looked like a fresh flower!

Turning to her father, she said that this is how life should be. You should always look and feel good and fresh. So not just from her family, but she learnt the art of always looking good from Jeetendra Ji as well.
