Isn’t it annoying to be stuck in a traffic jam when you’re on your way to important work? Or having to plan ahead when travelling to work, because you know it’s probably going to take a while for you to reach your destination. But soon, these may change as the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority, (RTA) has announced 32 roads, that may drastically reduce travel time by 60%. Here’s all about this development.
32 Roads In The Al Qusais Area To Reduce Travel Time Up To 60%
On Sunday, April 30, the Dubai RTA announced that it plans to build 32 roads in the Al Qusais area of Dubai. According to a news report by the Khaleej Times, a contract has already been awarded for constructing internal roads and lighting works in this industrial area. As a result, the new road project to be built in five areas of Al Qusais is expected to drastically cut travel time up to 60%.
Coming to the project, 32 roads running 10 kilometres will be built with 43 kilometres of street lights. As a result, this is going to boost road intake by a whopping 200%! This means it will increase from 500 vehicles per hour to about 1500 vehicles that will be able to travel in both directions. Talking about the current situation here, there are four main streets that serve the area, these include Amman, Beirut, Halab, and Damascus Streets. As a result, the new roads will help in improving entrances and exits for 25 residential buildings, shops, educational zones, and even 320 workshops.

3 Roads Were Inaugurated Last Year!
Talking about ongoing works, the Dubai RTA is presently working on the internal roads and lighting for the residential areas of Margam, Lehbab, Al Lisaili, and Hatta. It is expected that the project is going to be completed by the end of this year. Not to mention, once this project is over, it is bound to make connectivity better and helps in making the entry and exit points of the area better for the people living here. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that Al Quoz 2, Nad Al Sheba 2, and Al Barsha South 3 were inaugurated last year.
No, isn’t this a fantastic development?
