After the government’s move on the plastic ban in the state of Maharashtra, this restaurant in Pune has a different approach by introducing steel tiffin boxes.

What Is It?

The Maharashtrian government imposed a ban on the manufacture, use, sale and distribution of plastic materials on March 23rd. In lieu of this, this restaurant in Pune finds themselves keeping a check on the plastic use by introducing steel lunch boxes for takeaway food items.

The restaurant asks the customers to pay Rs. 200 on delivery which they will reimburse after they’ve received the tiffin box back.

The restaurant has got a good applause on social media wherein people have appreciated this move.
