Ramadan is just days away, the UAE recently announced reduced working hours for its people. However, not just the UAE, but other GCC nations also announced their revised timings for public and private sector workers. This includes Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. So, if you are also wondering about the revised work timings in other GCC nations, here’s all you need to know about it.

Working Hours In Oman

Recently, in a report by the Arabian Business, it was revealed that Oman has reduced its working hours for the people. Yes, this has been extended to those working both in the public and private sectors. For the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Labour announced that the official working hours at the State’s Administrative Apparatus and private sector establishment will be reduced and flexible.

So, the working hours will be from 9 AM to 2 PM for the State Administrative. While the head of the unit the hours of attendance and leave. These can be as per the working schedules on the basis of the following time frames:

7 am to 12 pm
8 am to 1 pm
9 am to 2 pm
10 am to 3 pm

Working Hours In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

For the people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education has unveiled official working hours for the holy month. Yes, they have reduced the school hours to just five hours per day, with the timing starting at 10 AM in the morning. And it will conclude at 3 PM in the afternoon. Coming to the employees, working hours for them have also been adjusted to align with the labour laws in the kingdom. Employees can expect reduced working hours with the capping being at a maximum of six hours per day.

Kuwait has reduced working hours to four hours for employees, according to the Gulf News. And there are additional provisions for the grace period. Not to mention, women will also enjoy two periods of 15 minutes each, one at the beginning and another at the end of the day. While men will be working for four hours and 15 minutes, with 15 minutes of a single grace period in the morning.
