Laa Unico in Pune is a swanky restaurant for vegetarians that dishes out a vast fusion and experimental menu.

What Is It

Every vegetarians ongoing battle is to hunt down a restaurant that can be tagged as every vegetarian’s dream. Well this doesn’t sound easily achievable but guys we found this place to be quite promising. Why?

Well the food menu here is vast, purely vegetarian and an assortment of Italian, Mexican, Continental, Indian and Oriental cuisines. We absolutely love their pao bhaji fondue. Strongly recommend all you vegetarian folks to try this blend of classic Swiss dish fondue with our all time favorite street food pao bhaji. Fondue is molten cheese served in a  pot over a portable stove heated with a candle. Dip the pao crumbs into the thick cheesy sauce and savor this Indian street food in a new avatar.

What Else

We also loved their experiment with salads. Try Contadina, which is a salad mixed with fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, onions, green beans , basically lots of fresh veggies. Also, try their pizzas while all of them are decent but you might want to specifically go for their Julia Roberts pizza.  Now for some strong sugar rush, Chocolate Landscape should be, without a doubt your first choice. It is quite literally a landscape of mud cake soil, brownie chunks and ounces of chocolate sauce. Beyond this, they also have six more variations of chocolate desserts.

This restaurant is done up in an old Italian style , with a quaint vibe to it. Not a bad option for a date we say. The rooftop has wooden cabanas , perfect for a breezy date night. The indoor set up too is rustic with lanterns and anitque hangings sets the mood right for a date!
