According to an article which was recently published by Channeliam, Bekele has developed a kind of soap that consists of imiquimod, a drug that is already used to treat some types of skin cancer. By incorporating the drug in a soap form, Bekele aims to make it more accessible.
His invention is only in the early stages as of now. The approval process alone could take another ten years. Despite these delays, Bekele continues to work on and spread information about his work via presentations.
