Airlines in the UAE are already issuing advisories that ask passengers to plan ahead, if they are also travelling this summer. This comes in anticipation of the summer travel rush, wherein an overwhelming number of people will be travelling from the UAE airports. Here’s all you need to know about this travel-related development in the UAE.

Emirates Asks Passengers To Plan Ahead

It was just recently announced by Emirates that more than 30,000 customers were supposed to depart from DXB on June 26. In fact, the level of departure would more or less be similar until June 30. This comes at a time when there might be a busy week of travel ahead, as the recent chaos due to the events of escalation coincided with the summer travel rush.

So, people have been asked to plan for extra traffic on the roads, especially those approaching the airport. Not to mention, car parks are also expected to get busy, and a larger number of people are anticipated at the immigration. Hence, the airline has advised its passengers to arrive at least three hours before departure during the peak travel time. Not to mention, they must pass through immigration 1.5 hours before the departure and must ensure that they are at the boarding gate an hour before the departure to avoid any last-minute chaos.

Etihad Airways Asks Passengers To Arrive Early

Etihad Airways has also issued an advisory for its customers travelling from the Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. Anticipating more than 7 million passengers until the end of the season, they have been asked to arrive early. And it is also important to stay informed about the flight by using the ‘Manage My Booking’ section on the airline’s website or even on the app. Additionally, it is strongly advised to arrive early at least four hours before the scheduled departure, for early check-in. Not to mention, passengers have also been advised to make use of other facilities, such as online check-in, off-airport facilities, and home check-in, to name some.
