- If you are flying with Emirates, you can use the home, early, and self-service check-in facilities that are offered by the airline, along with city check-in options as well.
- In case your flight is with some other airline, make sure to arrive at the DXB no earlier than three hours. This should be before the scheduled departure from the airport, and make sure to use online check-in wherever possible.
- If you are travelling with a large family or have children who are over the age of 12, you can opt to use Smart Gates, which have been designed to speed up the check-in process.
- Make sure to weigh your luggage at home and keep your documents assembled in advance. Do this especially if you wish to minimise the stress at the airport, so that you are prepared for security checks.
- Don’t forget that power banks and spare batteries are considered to be a safety hazard. Hence, they are prohibited from the checked-in luggage, so you might want to keep them in your hand luggage only.
- If you happen to be using the Dubai Metro, the operating times are generally extended during the public holidays or on special occasions, so take note of the same.
- People who are visiting the airport to pick up their loved ones are advised to park their cars in the designated car park. They can use the valet services. And they can make the most out of the facility until June 30, as Dubai Airport is offering discounts on parking.
