This is because the South Western Railway (SWR) has reduced the time of the journey from Kannur-Bengaluru Express and Karwar-Bengaluru Express by 20 minutes and 45 minutes respectively from next month onwards.

Travel time by train journeys from Bangalore to coastal Karnataka has now become faster as South Western Railway (SWR) has recently repaired the railway tracks between Hassan and Shravanabelagola under a track renewal program. Thanks to this trains running on these routes will travel at faster speeds. So if you’re travelling by Kannur-Bengaluru Express, you will reach your destination 20 minutes earlier. And if you’re on the Karwar-Bengaluru Express you will reach your destination, 45 minutes earlier.

Train Journeys From Bangalore To Coastal Karnataka Are Hassle-Free

The Kannur-Bengaluru overnight express traverses through the coastal city of Mangaluru and reaches Bengaluru at 6:50 am. Post the track renewal program, you will reach the city by 6:30 am on June 1. Similarly, Karwar-Bengaluru Panchaganga Express previously arrived at the KSR Bengaluru city railway station at 8 a.m. From June 1 onwards, the train shall reach the station by June 1.
