Namo Bharat Achieves A New Milestone! Crosses 2 Crore Trips Within Just 2 Years!

Namo Bharat, India’s rapid rail system, has achieved an amazing milestone. It has now recorded two crore commuter trips within just two years of operations. NCRTC shared the news on their official X account and thanked every passenger who made Namo Bharat a part of their journey. This is a milestone that definitely calls for a celebration. Namo Bharat Crosses 2 Crore Commuter Trips


The Delhi-Meerut RRTS service, or Namo Bharat, has crossed two crore trips in just two years. According to a report by News18, the system achieved this milestone even before the completion of its full route. National Capital Region Transport Corporation Ltd., which operates the Namo Bharat, also shared the news on their official X account.

They wrote, “Within two years of operations, the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor has emerged as a preferred daily commute option in the region.” People are choosing Namo Bharat not just for comfort but also for its safety, reliability, speed and seamless multimodal connectivity. With reduced travel time, commuters are actively choosing Namo Bharat to travel between Delhi and Meerut.

Integrated System That Makes Daily Travel Easier

This rapid-rail system also boasts many other benefits. It has an integrated ticketing system, last-mile links and a system that is transforming everyday travel with ease. The official page of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation also wrote, “Crossing 2 crore trips is more than a milestone, it reflects a shift in NCR’s travel behaviour and growing trust in this modern, future-ready mobility solution.” They also thanked every commuter who made Namo Bharat a part of their journey.

According to a report by News18, this rapid rail system started in October 2023. At present, the service connects New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South with 11 stations. The train service on the remaining sections, from Sarai Kale Khan to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and from Meerut South to Modipuram in Meerut, is yet to start. Once complete, the route will offer full city-centre to city-centre Delhi-Meerut connectivity.
