Travel Updates From The GCC

1. Oman Airport Allocates Oman Air Tickets Sale In Passenger Terminal

Oman Airport has informed that they have an additional counter for the sale of Oman Air tickets. This is in the passenger terminal of the location C entrance of the Departure Area. In fact, travellers who are arriving at the airport can also book their tickets directly at the counter. This is a part of their efforts to streamline the booking process and to offer additional services to passengers.

2. Qatar Airways Resumes Limited Flight

Qatar Airways has revealed that it will be operating a limited number of flights. These are scheduled in the coming days and the development comes after there was temporary approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority to run select routes. The Doha-based carrier has announced the temporary schedule, which has been designed to help travellers to continue their journey. Flights are expected to depart to destinations like Cairo, Manila, Jeddah, Istanbul, Mumbai, and Delhi, to name some.

3. Air India & Air India Express Schedules Service From Jeddah & Muscat

Indian carriers, Air India and Air India Express, have announced that they will be operating scheduled services to and from Jeddah and Muscat. This will be until March 10th, as the airspace over the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia remains open. The airlines are operating a total of 14 flights from Jeddah. Air India Express is operating 14 flights to and from Muscat.

4. UAE Airlines Operate Limited Flights

UAE airlines have resumed Limited flights. Etihad Airways, Emirates, Air Arabia, and flydubai are currently operating selected routes. Passengers have been advised to check their flight status and to confirm their bookings before heading to the airport. After all, the schedules might change, and some services remain restricted.

5. Saudia Confirm Suspension Of Flights

Saudia, which is the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, has confirmed that flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Amman will remain suspended until March 10th, 11:59 PM GMT. This comes due to the ongoing situation. However, flights to and from Dubai have partially resumed and are operating with a limited schedule. Moreover, flights to and from Moscow will remain suspended until March 15th.
