Travelling at night on Indian Railways is now going to get comfortable. The IRCTC has issued new guidelines for people travelling at night. In the new guideline, travelling people cannot speak loudly over phone calls or play loud music after a certain time. This is being done considering the convenience of the passengers. IRCTC New Guidelines For Passengers

IRCTC passengers will not be bothered by ticket checking after 10 pm. The passengers allotted the middle berth can sleep on them from 10 pm the night till 6 am in the morning. Further, the train officials or TTE can allot the empty seats of passengers who have missed their train only after an hour. Also, it can be allotted to different passengers after the train crosses two stations. As for the loud talking and music, there have been several complaints filed by the passengers in trains. People tend to speak super loudly during the night and even play loud music, disturbing fellow passengers. To ensure comfort for the senior travellers onboard, the IRCTC has especially issued this guideline.

Guidelines To Follow If You’re On The Train At Night

If you’re travelling on the train, here’s what you must do if you’re onboard at night after 10 pm.

The IRCTC has also announced that strict action taken against people who do not comply with the rules. And train officials on duty will be responsible for maintaining the guidelines if any complaints go reported.
