Locations For Winter 2023
With the onset of winter vacation, Airbnb has combed through its database, looking at every booking made in the UK between November 1 and December 31. The ten locations with the highest volume of searches and check-ins were then made public by the platform.
As usual, a wide variety of locations are showing interest for the winter of 2023. Curiously, though, a lot of the northern locations are drawing the greatest attention: Northumbrian Bamburgh, Perthshire’s Pitlochry, and the Scottish Highlands’ Fort Augustus all made the list.
The list of locations on Airbnb is not limited to the north. Ascot, London, Brighton, and Bath are among the others that are included.
Trendiest Airbnbs Destinations In The UK
Bamburgh: In England’s Northumberland, Bamburgh is a settlement and civil parish beside the seaside. In 2005, the village’s large beach received the Blue Flag rural beach award.
Pitlochry: Situated on the River Tummel, Pitlochry is a town in Scotland’s Perth and Kinross council regions. Primarily a Victorian town, it transformed into a popular vacation spot with the visitation of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1842.
Fort Augustus: Situated midway between Inverness and Fort William on the magnificent 60-mile Caledonian Canal, Fort Augustus is a haven for avid hikers and bicyclists, boasting an abundance of picturesque walking trails. It also provides breathtaking vistas across Loch Ness.
Brighton: Apart from its diversified culture, music, and arts scene and eccentric shopping sections, Brighton is also known for being the ‘unofficial gay capital of Britain’ due to its substantial LGBTQ+ community.
Bath: Using the natural hot springs as a thermal resort, the Romans created the city of Bath in south-west England in the first century AD.
London: It stands among the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. In addition to being the biggest city in the UK, it serves as a hub for trade, transportation, and culture. (As per TimeOut)
Norfolk: Poets, artists, and authors have drawn inspiration from Norfolk’s expansive sky for ages. There are miles of pristine shorelines, breathtaking landscapes, woods, and more beneath those skies.
Stretford: Trafford’s Stretford is a market town. Since 1910, Manchester United Football Club has called it home, and since 1864, Lancashire County Cricket Club has called it home.
Ascot: It is a town in Berkshire that is part of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. It is mainly famous for being the site of the Ascot Racecourse, which hosts the Royal Ascot Race.
Seahouses: It is well-known for its history, including the legendary Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) figure Grace Darling. This is in addition to its amazing fauna and shoreline.
