The Natural History Museum is finally opening to the public on Saturday, November 22nd. As visitors of all ages are invited to explore the story of Earth and even wider the universe, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, visited the museum to take a tour of this place ahead of its opening.

Natural History Museum Opens On November 22nd

A museum that traces 13.8 billion years of natural history, the Natural History Museum is finally opening to the public on November 22nd. From the birth of the cosmos to the formation of the solar system, and even the rise of the dinosaurs and the evolution of life and humans. It specifically shines the spotlight on the Arab region. As mentioned in a report of Gulf News, this is a museum which will be set in the Saadiyat Cultural District. Covering over 35,000 m², it’s the largest natural history museum in the Middle East.

Sheikh Hamdan & Sheikh Khaled Visit The Museum

Ahead of its opening, the leaders took a tour of the new museum on Thursday, November 20th. As it happens, they began to visit with the striking atrium, which is home to a world-first display. It features a herd of sauropod dinosaurs that have been arranged in a life-size dynamic formation. As it happens, the leaders also explored the educational and environmental features o the Museum. As it happens, Sheikh Hamdan also posted some glimpses of the museum on his Instagram account through Stories. In fact, the Dubai Media Office also posted a video of the leader’s tour of the museum before it finally opens to the public.

Bollywood Superstars Also Arrive For VIP Opening

However, it wasn’t just them, but Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also took a tour of the museum. They were spotted exploring the museum and even enjoying an exclusive first look at its collections. The actors got to experience the immersive displays that brought natural history to life. The VIP opening also features a lineup of international celebrities such as Steve Harvey, Adam Savage, David Iacono and Audrina Miranda.

More About The Museum

There are several galleries that are bringing the story of Earth to life. These include The Evolving World, The Story of Earth, Resilient Planet, Our World, and Earth’s Future. These are different chapters through which the Earth’s timeline is being presented. Additionally, there are several spaces where people can delve deeper into scientific insight. The PalaeoLab, Arabia’s Climate, The Life Sciences Lab, Beyond the Horizon, and The Human Story are the labs where you can get deeper insights.

With there being so many galleries to explore the natural history of Earth, this museum certainly warrants a visit from those of you who would want to know more in this field.
