Good news for Delhi NCR residents! Reaching Jewar Airport, also known as the Noida International Airport, from Faridabad is all set to get much faster. A 31-km-long, six-lane greenfield expressway is being constructed that will reduce the distance between Faridabad and the airport, significantly cutting commute time. Scroll down to know more.

Greenfield Expressway To Link Faridabad With Jewar Airport

According to a report by India TV, a six-lane, 31-km greenfield expressway is being constructed to connect Smart City Faridabad with Jewar Airport. Once completed, the travel time between Faridabad and Jewar is expected to reduce to just 15-20 minutes. Reportedly, authorities are initially working on six lanes, but the expressway may be expanded to eight lanes in the future.

Once operational, the highway will directly connect Faridabad’s industrial area to Jewar Airport, which is also known as Noida International Airport. The expressway is also expected to improve regional connectivity. The project will begin at the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road (Sector 65) in Faridabad and will terminate at Dayanatpur village near the Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh.

Route To Pass Through 18 Villages

According to India TV, of the total 31-km length of the expressway, approximately 22–24 km lies in Haryana, while around 7-9 km lies in Uttar Pradesh. Notably, the route will pass through 18 villages, 12 in Haryana and six in Uttar Pradesh.

In Haryana, the expressway will pass through these villages: Shahpur, Sotai, Chandawali, Bahbalpur, Phaphunda, Panhera Khurd, Narhawali, Mehmadpur, Hirapur, Mohana, Kalan, and Baghpur. In Uttar Pradesh, the route will pass through these villages: Jhuppa, Falaida Bangar, Amarpur, Karauli Bangar, Vallabhnagar, and Dayanatpur.

The project to connect Faridabad to Jewar Airport is being executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). So far, around 1,200 pillars have been erected by the authorities. Work is ongoing to install girders across the Yamuna River. The total estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹2,414 crore. NHAI aims to complete the entire project by April 2027. However, some sections may open to the public in 2026.
