Why Is There A Gigantic Cat At Hong Kong International Airport?
Hong Kong International Airport has unveiled a gigantic interactive cat art installation at Terminal 1’s Arrivals Level (L5), and it will be on display until May 2. But why the giant cat? The installation is part of the airport’s Easter celebrations, adding a playful touch to the festive season with a delightful line-up designed to brighten travellers’ journeys.
Titled ‘A Moment to Purr–Giant Interactive Cat Encounter’, the installation lets visitors snap a picture and instantly print it as an Easter keepsake. It’s already drawing long queues, with tourists lining up to click photos with the adorable, larger-than-life cat.

Festive Cheer At The Airport
