MasterChef Asia is back with a brand-new season, and this time, chefs from across Asia are coming together for a culinary showdown filled with exciting challenges, impressive dishes and plenty of competition. MasterChef Asia Returns With A New Season
The new season of MasterChef Asia has been filmed in Macao, a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, giving the competition a delicious backdrop as contestants take on challenges inspired by the city’s food and culture. From local markets to Michelin-starred restaurants and a specially created MasterChef Asia kitchen, the contestants will have plenty on their plates.
The season will be judged by three renowned chefs: Chef Edward Lee, Chef “Pam” Pichaya S. and Chef Kelvin Cheung. They will put the contestants through a series of high-pressure challenges, testing everything from their cooking skills and creativity to their ability to adapt.
The show will also feature guest judges including food personality Mark Wiens, Abi Marquez, Chef Ken Chong and Chef Julien Tongourian.
For Indian viewers, MasterChef Asia premieres on September 22 at 9 PM on TLC, followed by its *October 2 debut on discovery+ in India.

Meet The Contestants, Including India’s Nambie Jessica Marak
The new season brings together 10 contestants from different parts of Asia and beyond. The line-up includes Vietnamese-Australian chef Khanh Ong, restaurant owner Sahadol “Pond” Tantrapim, Malaysian pastry chef Marcus Low, Korean gastronomy specialist Areum Yoon, and Asian cuisine chefs Audrey Wicksana, Therese Lum, Mime Kataniwa, Ivory Yat and Macao’s Sandy Tang.
India will be represented by Nambie Jessica Marak, who is also known as the Culinary and Cultural Ambassador of Meghalaya. With contestants bringing different culinary backgrounds to the table, the competition is expected to showcase a wide mix of flavours and cooking styles.
What’s exciting is that unlike a competition confined to a studio kitchen, the new season will take contestants across Macao. Challenges will unfold at local markets, Michelin-starred restaurants and other culinary spots, allowing viewers to get a glimpse of the city’s food culture along the way.
And, of course, there will be plenty of intense cooking challenges as the contestants battle it out for the ultimate title.
