UAE: Your Heartwarming Snap Of Family Moments Can Fetch You A Prize Of AED25000 Under The Family in Frame Award

Majalis Abu Dhabi, which is in the Citizens and Community Affairs Office of the Presidential Court, has collaborated with Creative Lab. Through this collaboration, they have opened submissions for the ‘Family in Frame Award’. This is a nationwide photography competition that invites all members of the community so that they can capture authentic moments. These moments should reflect the strength and connection of family.

Family In Frame Award Launched In UAE

The award has been launched as a part of the UAE’s ‘Year of Family’. This competition highlights the role of family towards strengthening shared values, cultural continuity and even community cohesion. Through photography, participants will be invited to capture meaningful moments which convey warmth, belonging, and intergenerational bonds.

What About Submission & Prizes?

It’s worth noting that the submissions are only open until May 29th, 2026. Winners will be announced on June 15th, 2026. Select works will, in fact, even be showcased during Eid 2026. It would be a part of a curated exhibition, which celebrates creative expression and community participation.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning the awards. Yes, the prizes for the awards are AED25,000 for first place, for second place it is AED15,000, and AED10,000 for third place. However, the entries will be evaluated by a judging committee of media industry experts. It would be based on creativity, relevance, and quality.

How can one participate?

Well, participants can submit well, the participants may submit one photograph. It should be aligned with the award team, and the images should capture shared family experiences while demonstrating strong visual storytelling. However, the faces need not be clearly visible. The photograph must be submitted in JPEG or JPG format with a minimum size of 5MB. The resolution, however, must be of 300 DPI and the image should not contain logos, signature or timestamps. So, limited artistic editing is permitted. Hence, there is additionally, there should be no excessive manipulation, and an AI-generated image is not allowed.

So, if you are someone who has a knack for photography, and you wish to share your family’s heart-warming moment, you might want to participate in this award.
