Recently, an Indian travel content creator uploaded a video showing the world’s longest escalator, which seems to go on endlessly. Travel Influencer Shows World’s Longest Escalator In China

Akash Chaudhary (@kaash_chaudhary), a travel content creator on Instagram, shares snippets from his journeys with over one million followers. Recently, he uploaded a video that has already crossed one million views. He started the video saying, “Yeh hai paatal lok li seedhiya.” Akash added that while many haven’t seen the stairs to heaven, today they can witness the stairs to hell, aka “paatal lok.”

He points to the escalator, which apparently is the world’s deepest, located in Chongqing, China. Akash also mentions that while many countries are building tall skyscrapers, China has set a new benchmark with this mind-blowing escalator. He captioned the video, “Stairs to the Underworld.” This escalator is called the Huangguan Escalator or the Crown Grand Escalator. It is approximately 367 feet long and connects the Chongqing railway station at Caiyuanba to Lianglukou metro station.

A Unique 3-Minute Experience

As per Akash Chaudhary’s Instagram video, the experience costs around 2 Chinese Yuan, which is ₹24 in Indian currency. The escalator ride takes exactly three minutes. Akash adds that China never fails to amaze, and the escalator seems endless. He describes it as one of the most unique experiences one can have in the country.

Netizens on Instagram were equally amazed, commenting “wow” and “amazing.” Some even laughed at his “Paatal Lok” reference. But whatever the reaction, this escalator is unlike anything most of us have seen, truly unique.
