2024’s end is still a few weeks away. Before that, people are planning to take one last vacation of the year. From food to culture, people want to experience unique and different things on a vacation. For anyone searching for a spot to celebrate the end of 2024 or take a holiday, Tripura is hosting an incredible festival before the year closes. To boost tourism in the state, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha will introduce the first Tripura Tourism Promo Fest-2024 on December 3 in Gomati district. The event is scheduled to occur till December 14 in four major locations.

What Is Tripura Tourism Promo Fest-2024?

The purpose of the 11-day Tourism Promo Festival in Tripura is to highlight the state’s potential for tourism. The celebration will start on December 3 at Narkel Kunja in Dumbur Lake and continue on December 9 in Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, home of clouded leopards. A large-scale performance by playback singer Shreya Ghoshal at Vivekananda Stadium in Agartala from December 12–14, as well as an event in Northeast India’s Switzerland, Jampui Hill, on December 11.

As reported by The Times of India, the festival intends to introduce visitors to the rich customs, culture, and scenic splendour of Tripura’s 19 indigenous tribes, according to Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury. There will also be a musical performance and local food at the occasion.

Aim Of This Fest In Tripura

In order to promote the state’s tourism, culture, and legacy, this fest has been organised. As reported by CNBCTV18, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury mentioned that the event is expected to draw over 40 top tour operators from all over the nation and increase visitor foot traffic by 30–50%.

At the Eden Tourist Lodge on Jampui Hill, Tripura will have a cultural event that will include dance, adventure sports, a variety of food festivals, a musical concert, and performances by traditional Mizo bands. 70% to 80% of representatives from the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) will visit Tripura to examine its tourism potential, and the event will conclude with a business-to-business conference between domestic tour operators and local stakeholders.
