UAE Announces 5 Hour Work Day For Select Employees During Ramadan

The holy month of Ramadan is likely to begin on April 13, 2021. For the same, the school timing has been reduced across the nation. And now, after the school timings, the UAE government has announced certain rules for the public sector employees as well. Here’s everything you must know about it.

The UAE Government Made This Announcement On FAHR’s Twitter Account

As per the announcement made by the UAE government- the working for the employees of the public sector across the country is now reduced. Yep, the public sector workers will now work for five hours a day throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The official announcement for the same was made on the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) on their Twitter account, which stated that official working hours during the holy month would be from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon.

Timings For The Private Sector Employees Are Yet To Be Announced

However, there are certain exceptions for people whose work requires them to work alternative hours. Timings for the private sector are yet to be announced. But usually, the regular working day is reduced by two hours, whether you fast or not. However, we are yet to receive a confirmation for the same.

Meanwhile, the government has updated the rules for Ramadan this year. Keeping the current situation in mind, public gathering, iftar tents, social events and varied other things are banned this year.
