The Holy Month Of Ramadan has officially begun. And keeping the covid-19 situation in mind, UAE has banned iftar tents, social gathering, distributions of foods, social events, etc., this year. The authorities are time and again informing citizens about this ban. And now, to make sure that these rules are in place, UAE has announced fines and warnings for Ramadan 2021. Here’s everything you must know about it.

Collecting Donations Online Is A Punishable Offence With Fines Starting From AED 250,000

The UAE public prosecution has warned against collecting donations without a license. And people who wish to help the needy during the holy month of Ramadan need to do so through legal channels. The public prosecution said that Article 27 of the Federal Law No. 5 of 2012 regarding opposing cybercrimes states that seeking public donations without a permit online via devices is a punishable offence. People doing so can face imprisonment and or a fine ranging from AED 250,000 to AED 500,000.

Collecting Donations And Charities At Mosque Can Cost AED 5,000 Fine

Besides this, as per Federal Law No. (4) for 2018, anyone who collects donations or contributions at the mosques without proper permission from the authorities can land in jail or face hefty fines. As per the law, it is a punishable offence for a maximum of three months or a fine of a maximum of AED 5,000 or either one of the two penalties.

Besides this, Abu Dhabi Police has also issued an advisory against the dangers of parking on either side of the road. The authorities announced on social media that parking on either side of the road while performing prayers is a traffic violation. It added that the act was prohibited under the Federal Traffic Law in Article 62 and is punishable by a fine of AED 500.
