An 18-year-old German expat saw an opportunity in this market and started her own business of protein bars! Yes, these cater specifically to the taste of the UAE. We’re talking about Linsafi, which translates to ‘for myself’ in Arabic. Here’s all about the success story of this UAE-based brand.

Linsafi has today, become quite a popular choice amongst health enthusiasts. Known for offering a variety of flavours in protein bars can be found at grocery stores in the UAE, sitting on the shelves, waiting to be grabbed by eager health enthusiasts. As revealed by, Eve Lauren Heinz, the founder of this brand, these chocolates were created to suit the taste of the people in the UAE.

Thereafter, she says, “The aim was to create protein bars tailored to local tastes and make healthier snack alternatives appealing to a broader consumer base, beyond just fitness enthusiasts. My goal was to develop a brand that resonates with families in the UAE and offers products that fit seamlessly into their everyday lives.” Adding further, she says, “These bars have a balanced nutritional profile, using whole food ingredients like oats, nuts, and real fruit. What makes us different is the crispy texture of our bars. Yes, and our conscious decision to avoid ingredients like sucralose and aspartame. Thereby, addressing common complaints about aftertaste or dense textures in traditional bars.”

Currently, Linsafi is available in a bunch of flavours, one of which includes Mango Lassi. Taking a quirky spin on this refreshing yoghurt-based drink, it’s truly packed with great flavours. In fact, Heinz reveals, “We’re always experimenting with new flavours to expand our range. At the moment, we’re developing a vegan and gluten-free Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate Bar. This is along with exciting flavours like Pistachio-Orange and Baklava. We’ll see which of these resonates most with our customers and makes it to market.”

And this is brilliant! She opines that customers in the UAE are looking for “snacks that are convenient, nutritious, and, most importantly, tasty.”
