2025 is just a few days away! And of course, you probably are already thinking about all the holidays that will be available to you. After all, when the new calendar comes, the first thing that most of us are probably guilty of doing is counting the number of official public holidays that fall on weekdays. So, what if we told you that it is possible that you might get 49 days of total holidays if you take 19 leaves in 2025?
19 Leaves Can Result In 49 Leaves
It is possible that you might just get 49 days of holidays if you use 19 annual leaves. Yes, starting from January, New Year’s Day falls on January 1, which is a holiday. So, if you take a leave on January 2 and 3, you might get five days of holiday, provided weekends are off for you. Then coming to April, if the Eid Al Fitr happens on April 2 (which may change depending on the moon sighting), then you can add a leave of April 3 and 4 that will allow you to take a nine-day long weekend.

Here’s How The Rest Of The Year May Pan Out
Coming to May and June, the Arafat Day and Eid Al Aadha is expected to be from May 31 to June 2, however, this might change on the basis of when the moon is sighted. As a result, you can use four days of leave before and after to create a 10-day holiday for yourself. While in June, if the New Islamic Year falls on June 27, which is a Friday, you can take June 23 to 26 as an off to make a nine-day weekend by combining both the weekends falling before and after the said date.
Finally, coming to December, the Commemoration Day and Eid Al Etihad will be from December 1 to 3, so if you add leaves from December 4 and 5, you can get a nine-day holiday once again.
However, all of these calculations will be set right only if the festivals fall on the said dates given the moon sighting might change. So, if all the stars (and the moon) align, you are bound to get several holidays the next year.
