UAE Residents Plead Emirates Airlines To Stop Flights To And From China

Coronavirus is the current talk of the town and sadly that’s the state in the UAE as well. The number of confirmed cases has touched 12,000 and the scare only seems to increase with time. In fact, many countries including the USA, and Australia have temporarily banned entry to non-citizens who have recently travelled to China. And now, Dubai residents have also raised a plea to Emirates airlines, asking them to suspend flights to and from China.

Dubai residents have unanimously raised a plea on social media to Emirates; asking them to suspend operation of flights to and from China. Emirates is known for placing its customers before anything else and the airline has now taken necessary precautions for the safety of its crew and passengers.

In fact, people from across the world are raising voice for a temporary ban on all flights to and from China, in a hope that it will prevent rapid spread of the virus. Many people took to Twitter to request airline companies to stop flights to and from China. While a few of them pressurized the airlines to stop operations to the epicenter, a few others aggressive approach. Take a look at the tweets:

 

What Else?

Last week, the ministry of health announced the first coronavirus case in the UAE. However, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention announced a new case of Coronavirus infection in the country yesterday. The ministry added that the patient was stable and under medical care. He arrived from the Chinese city of Wuhan.

Ever since the breakout, five cases have been detected in the UAE. The Ministry pointed out that the number of cases detected in the UAE was very low and that there is no cause for concern. Further, the healthcare system is taking all necessary measures to ensure complete care and protection is given to the residents.

So far, the number of confirmed cases in China is reported to be 11,791 with a death toll of 259.
