UAE Residents With A Schengen Visa Can Enjoy Visa-Free Entry To These Countries; Here’s How!

Let’s be honest, Europe in summer? It’s beautiful to picture that. But it’s also packed, pricey, and filled with tourists & their selfie sticks. If you’re a UAE resident with a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, you’ve just won a travel jackpot, and no, you don’t have to stick to the usual Euro trip itinerary. That little sticker in your passport is your golden key to stunning destinations beyond the typical tourist trail. Think Balkan cafés, Caribbean beaches, and underrated gems you won’t have to rush your way through for a selfie.

Sure, a Schengen visa gets you into the classic 29 countries: France, Italy, Spain and more. But if you’re holding a multiple-entry visa (and you’ve used it at least once to enter a Schengen country), a whole new world opens up.

Let’s talk Balkans first.

  • Albania rolls out the red carpet for Schengen holders in the UAE. No visa needed for stays up to 90 days.
  • Montenegro lets you wander for up to 30 days.
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Serbia also welcome you with open arms.

Looking for something warmer and wilder?

  • Mexico lets you stay up to 180 days, but you’ll need to have used your Schengen visa at least once.
  • Colombia allows certain nationalities offering entry if your visa is valid for six months.
  • The dreamy Dominican Republic? Just flash your multiple-entry Schengen visa and get in with a tourist card.
  • Even Antigua and Barbuda offer a visa on arrival if you’ve got that Schengen stamp.

Even Cyprus, though technically in the EU but not in Schengen, lets you in for up to 90 days if your visa’s ticking.

And let’s not forget the microstates. With your Schengen visa in hand, you can walk into Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and even Vatican City.

The catch? Your visa must be multiple-entry and valid for your entire trip. Some countries require you to have entered a Schengen zone first. So no skipping straight from Dubai to Bogotá unless you’ve done Paris first, alright?

Also, a quick heads-up. Your visa must still be valid by the time you leave that second country.

If you’re applying fresh from the UAE, the process is fairly simple:

The average processing time is around 15 calendar days. Just don’t be that person who leaves it to the week of travel. And the cost?

  • AED380 for adults,
  • AED190 for kids aged 6–12,
  • Free for those under six.

Your Schengen visa isn’t just for Europe, UAE residents!  It’s your passport to explore the unexpected and dreamy spots across the world.
