In fact, according to a recent 2025 Air Hacks Report, which was released by Expedia, a travel brand, there are many tips on how travellers can save extra bucks. In fact, if you book your tickets on this day, you can end up saving 22%.
2025 Air Hacks Report Revealed
Make sure you are aware of the day you book your tickets because it really does play an important role. Yes, as revealed in the same report cited by Khaleej Times, travellers can end up saving 16% by booking on a Sunday as compared to a Friday. But they can end up losing 16% if they end up flying on Sunday as compared to a Thursday! While this might sound a little confusing but being savvy about planning your travel can allow you to save quite a bit of money.
When Is The Best Time To Travel To Save Money?
The report has analysed the ticketing database around the world by collaborating with airlines reporting, collaboration, and data provider, OAG. Another travel hack to know is that travellers who wait for the weekend to book their premium class tickets can end up saving 22% as compared to those who book on a Thursday. While those who book on Sundays can save about 16% on international flights as compared to those on Fridays.
Another important to know is that if you are booking your tickets for the international trip up to 12 days before departure, you can maximise your savings. Yes, those who book during this window can save up to 21% as compared to those who book 128 days or 138 days in advance, which is actually the worst time to book.

What About booking Tickets?
Finally, when it comes to travelling, it is suggested that Thursdays can save up to 9% while those who depart on Mondays. After all, it’s the most expensive day to start an international trip. Moreover, flights that depart between 9 PM, and 3 AM have a less chance of being cancelled as compared to other timings. While flights that are between 3 PM to 9 PM have a 20% higher chance of being cancelled. In fact, cancellations are generally the lowest in June and highest in April.
So, if you are also planning to travel in the New Year, then you might want to consider travelling in July. After all the month has the cheapest premium tickets available and travellers can also save up to 14% when travelling in summer as compared to October.
