According to the Unpack25 report of Expedia, about 78% of UAE travellers are expected to make a choice about their next holiday destination on the basis of of an item they can’t find locally. However, now tourists are satiating their wanderlust with TikTok-inspired travel destinations. With set-jetting and detour destinations and other trends, visiting places they see on the screen has become increasingly popular.

For instance, several influencers are also planning their trip on the basis of popular trends. The viral reels and videos that you see on social media about the beautiful destinations have made people want to visit these places. For instance, Bali is a destination that has gotten famous not only for its New Year parties but also for the famous swing that might have popped up on your screen as well. While for Budapest, their local trains and guided tours might do the trick.
Detour Destinations, The Upcoming Trend
In fact, another travel trend that is bound to gain momentum next year is Detour Destinations. This means that residents from the UAE won’t just be visiting the place they see on their feed, but will also visit lesser crowded and known destinations during their trip for a detour.
