According to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was revealed that immigration experts and typing centre agents have denied that the UAE has launched a One Year Freelance Residency Visa. According to social media claims, the nation had launched this visa, which was expected to allow holders to live and work in the country and even switch jobs easily. However, experts have claimed that this is actually the Virtual Work Visa, which is being claimed as the viral one of freelance residency visas. According to the requirement, a person must produce proof that they work remotely for an organisation, which is outside the UAE and they must also have a monthly income of about AED13,000.

At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the social media influences had also posted claims that anyone who comes to the UAE can take One Year Residency Visa by just using their passport. They also mentioned that this would give job seekers the freedom to work as freelancers while also switching jobs easily without having to get on the company’s visa! All of this also turns out to be fake and is often put forward by fraudulent typing centres and visa companies.

These experts have also gone so far as to admit that people who have claimed these so-called visas have not been allowed to enter the UAE. The fraudulent typing centres give these one-year remote working visas by using fake documents. As a result, the person receiving it cannot enter the country!

Since then it has encouraged many remote workers from around the world to set up their base in the UAE. Remote workers should provide proof of employment with a minimum salary of approximately AED18,000 per month along with the salary slip for the previous month and bank statements for the previous three months.
