Uber Mistakenly Charges Customer ₹32 Lakh Instead Of ₹1000 For Cab Ride
22-year-old Oliver Kaplan booked an Uber cab from Buxton Inn in Manchester to Witchwood, a pub nestled 6.4 km away. The chef just finished his shift at the inn and was out to meet his friends at the nearby pub. He revealed to South West News Service that he ordered a cab like he usually does. And everything seemed normal.

Uber quoted a price between $11 to $12 (₹906 to ₹988). And the chef happily accepted it. The driver told him it would be a 15-minute journey and Kaplan hopped onboard. After a night of partying with his friends, when Kaplan woke up with a hangover the next morning, he was shocked beyond wits. Uber charged him a whopping $39,317(₹32 lakhs approx) for the 15-minute ride last night.

Drop Off Location Accidentally Changed From England To Australia
The shocked customer rang up Uber’s customer service. Uber employees were equally shocked as him. Software engineers from the company discovered that the drop-off location accidentally got changed. Instead of Witchwood bar in Manchester, England, it got changed to Witchwood park in Victoria, Australia.
