Uganda Joins GSTC To Safeguard Natural Splendours
Renowned for its diverse landscapes and vibrant traditions, Uganda has long been a magnet for adventurous travellers seeking encounters with majestic mountain gorillas, sprawling savannas, and serene lakes. Now, with its membership in the GSTC, the nation is poised to elevate its commitment to environmental conservation and responsible tourism to unprecedented heights.
According to BNN Breaking, since 2015, Uganda has been steadfast in its pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. With the establishment of a dedicated SDG Secretariat, Uganda has demonstrated its systematic approach to achieving these ambitious goals. These goals include fostering economic growth while safeguarding the environment.
Central to Uganda’s sustainable tourism strategy is its National Development Plan III (NDP III). It is a visionary roadmap aimed at propelling the nation towards modernity and prosperity by 2040.
