Dos’
While you really can’t enjoy the spirit and galore of Ramadan this year, you certainly can experience the holy month by helping others and doing good deeds. Be kind to others around you, and don’t eat or drink in front of the people who are fasting. Donate and make charity to those less fortunate than you. Helping others is one of the most significant parts of Ramadan. And this what exactly Vatika – one of the GCC’s leading haircare brand aims to do this year. Vatika strives to celebrate Ramadan this year by empowering women in the GCC.
This year, Vatika and Curly Tales have joined hands to launch Ramadan Campaign to empower women to achieve their dreams. Through this campaign, Vatika wants to help women achieve their dream- big or small. The campaign will kick off on the first day of Ramadan and will run all through the holy month.
The campaign gives women an opportunity to nurture their mind, body and dreams through tonnes of benefits. Through the campaign, Vatika will provide women with a chance to hone their skills through a range of certified courses, fund small scale business ideas or take care of their physiological and psychological needs. Don’ts
While doing good deeds should be your motive this Ramadan- however, as a tourist, there are some don’ts that you must keep in mind. Do not eat or drink in public. Besides this, no hugging and holding hands in public are considered offensive. If you are in a mood to party, you also know that during Ramadan, restaurant and cafes are not allowed to play music. And most of the bars and pubs also remain shut during the hold month. The restaurants that serve alcohol will only be served after sunset. Lastly, men and women have to follow a set dresscode during Ramadan. Men cannot wear sleeveless, whereas women should cover their heads and shoulders.
This Ramadan, make good deeds your priority. Focus on giving back to society, and with time, we will get past this phase as well.
