Residents in the UAE can expect wet weather during Eid al-Fitr. As revealed by the National Centre of Meteorology, there is a forecast for cloudy skies and rainfall. In fact, this forecast is for different areas of the country from Saturday, March 21st to Tuesday, March 24th. Eid al-Fitr Weather Announced By NCM
As revealed by the NCM, there is a combination of metrological systems that are converging over the region. As a result, this Eid al-Fitr holiday will be better. As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, the NCM has identified that there is an extension of an upper-level atmospheric depression. So, one can expect cloudy skies from Wednesday, March 18th onwards. Moreover, there are also partly cloudy to overcast conditions expected with light rainfall over western coastal areas and during the daytime.

It is also expected that the temperature will dip noticeably, and Westerly winds can gust up to 40 km/h. It is expected that Thursday and Friday may maintain a similar mood, with intermittent cloud cover. Friday can bring a slight uptick in temperatures, but the cloud cover can linger with scattered showers.

For the weekend, there could be rain of varying intensity. Officially, the NCM has forecast rainfall of varying intensity across multiple areas in the UAE. This is during the window of March 21st to 24th. It is also expected that some regions may see light passing drizzle. However, others might see heavier downpours. As a result, the wind during the period may continues gust up to 40 km/h at times. With wet roads, reduced visibility, and gusty winds at play, it is advisable that motorists drive carefully, especially on highways and bridges.
So, with the NCM predicting a wetter Eid al-Fitr holiday, one needs to be careful while stepping out and be up-to-date with the forecast.
