Uorfi Javed On Therapy And Why It Is Necessary
If you binge-watched ‘Follow Kar Lo Yaar’ then you saw Uorfi’s first therapy session. She voiced her opinion about mental health and opted for therapy. We were chatting about her life when we got to talking about her therapy sessions. She was clear about her views on this subject and how it is beneficial in the long run.
“Most of the time, we don’t want solutions to our problems. We just want someone to listen. It makes other things easier when you feel like someone is there to listen to you,” she shared.
She added that people don’t always want to share stuff with parents or friends. This is when the therapist comes into the picture as a saviour. Uorfi explained, “Just go to a therapist; it is better to talk to a stranger! I think everyone should go to a therapist, just to relax your mind from the additional thoughts.” Truer words have never been spoken, Uorfi!

She Doesn’t Take Regular Sessions
Uorfi isn’t someone who needs to go to therapy regularly. However, visiting her therapist once in a while does wonders for her mental health! She revealed that it is quite challenging for her to open up to someone. This characteristic aids her irregular visits for her sessions.
Although Uorfi was vocal about therapy on her show and in our interview, she also questioned if it was working. Sometimes, she asks herself if it’s helping her or not. However, she comes to the conclusion that it ultimately helps. She finds herself feeling more relaxed after therapy.
