“Money Can’t Buy Class,” Netizens React To Viral Photo Showing Littered Oscars 2026 Venue

It was a star-studded affair on Sunday as some of the biggest names in cinema came together for the Oscars 2026. While the celebration proceeded smoothly, the aftermath presented a distinct narrative. A now-viral photo online showed the mess left behind by guests inside the Dolby Theatre after the awards ceremony. Read on to know more about the post.

Oscar’s 2026 Venue Left Littered?

The image showcased the Dolby Theatre, which was the Oscars 2026 venue, littered with garbage, like plastic bottles, disposable packaging, food wrappers, and other debris scattered all over the floor and seats. The picture of the venue was captured after the celebrities and guests had exited the hall post the ceremony. Matt Neglia (@NextBestPicture) took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share the picture. In the caption, he wrote, “Clean up on aisle ALL.”

As soon as Matt posted the picture, it went viral, igniting outrage among users worldwide. Many questioned the behaviour of guests at one of the biggest award nights.

Social Media Reacts To The Viral Post

The post quickly caught the attention of social media users. Many users criticised the behaviour of big celebrities and guests, while some pointed out that several celebrities often talk about environmental awareness and sustainability.

One user wrote, “Save the mountains, keep them clean, blah blah blah… but look at the mess they leave. Nobody’s buying it anymore. As the saying goes: A lion is revealed by where it lies.”

Another user wrote, “Aren’t some of them environmentalists? Where’s all that ‘protect the planet’ energy now?”

“Classic example of money can’t buy class,” one netizen pointed out.

Others, however, said it’s normal for public spaces to be messy after large events. One user wrote, “Well, it’s not an event attended by aliens. It’s humans, and humans are messy everywhere they go.”

“Of course, we can’t expect immaculately dressed celebrities to clean up after them. But Oscars can surely afford additional staff to ensure smooth operation (collecting from them & cleaning the spills on the spot). Also, what’s with “No Plastic” and all these celebrities’ ecological concerns?” another user asked.
