Devouring a traditional Pahadi breakfast in the mountains, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to Kamiya about his political journey, his vision to boost tourism in the city and much more.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Shares How He Got Into Politics
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami treated Kamiya Jani to a plethora of Pahadi delicacies. It ranged from Stuffed Gahat Roti, Mandua Roti, Jhangore Ki Kheer, Timore Chutney, Palak Ki Kafuli, Bhatt Ki Chutkani, White Roasted Bhatt and even Banana Gulgule. A melange of sweet, spicy and sour flavours. Surrounded by mountains on all sides and lush greenery, the duo chatted about politics, Pahadi food, Uttararakhand’s tourism potential, Char Dham yatra and much more.
During the chat, the Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami revealed that in 1990 he became a karyakarta or political worker of Uttar Pradesh. He kept working hard as a karyakarta. “Maine kabhi socha bhi nahin tha ki main kuch banunga. Kuch banne keliye kabhi nahin socha. (I never thought I would make it big (in politics).” But he said that he always wanted to do something for the nation. The Uttarakhand CM said that he worked hard and joined student politics. Later, he joined the BJP Yuva Morcha and he became a candidate of the political party. Then, he became an MLA and stood for elections.
People Of His State Feel Connected To PM Modi
He said that the people of Uttarakhand understand that PM Modi is connected to the state and the people of the state also love the Prime Minister. The Uttarakhand CM credited his people for not only achieving success in the state but across the world as well. Moreover, he acknowledged the efforts of his team to make sure the roads and hospitals are accessible to all in his state.
