A shocking incident in Dehradun has recently grabbed attention on social media. A video is now going viral showing a Dehradun juice vendor engaging in an unhygienic practice right in front of the SSP office. Naturally, netizens were enraged and were quick to react online. Here’s what happened next.
Dehradun Juice Vendor Caught Engaging In Unhygienic Practice

Mohammad Bilawal, a juice vendor in Dehradun, was seen cleaning his private parts with a cloth and then wiping utensils with the same cloth. The act was recorded by a woman who witnessed the vendor doing it, right in front of the Dehradun SSP office. In the video shared by X account, @TheTreeni, we could see the cloth he used for cleaning his private parts lying near the fruits he would use to make juice for unsuspecting customers. When confronted by the woman, he apologised but continued preparing the juice.
The woman said he didn’t even wash his hands. According to the video, the vendor claimed he had a boil on his stomach and was tending to it. The woman refused to accept his excuse. The vendor could also be heard saying “maaf kar dijiye” (Please forgive me) to the woman filming the video.

Video Goes Viral, Police Take Action
The clip quickly went viral on social media, leaving many viewers disgusted. It also raised serious health concerns. Many users complained that such practices are becoming common, and customers are often unaware of what happens behind the scenes. Following the outrage, local police reached the site and detained the juice vendor. Police later seized his juice cart and issued a challan.
Many users expressed their disappointment online. One wrote, “There is no law that explains why he will do it again! He should be banned permanently!” while another commented, “Disgusting.” One X user also came forward and wrote, “On the streets it is visible, while inside big food outlets/restaurants it is not visible until you visit the kitchen area. This is a huge cultural problem which persists in most parts of India.” This comment points to the fact that customers are often unaware of the hygiene practices inside the kitchens of the restaurants they dine at.
