Romance is evolving, and so is Valentine’s celebration this year! According to a new Valentine’s Day report, personalisation and technology are reshaping traditional celebrations across the globe. So, if you’re wondering how love is being celebrated in the digital age, then here’s an insight into it!
Valentine’s Day Gifting Go Beyond Flowers And Chocolates In 2025
Wizikey, Asia’s first AI-powered media intelligence platform, released a new Valentine’s special report highlighting how love and romance are evolving in 2025. Valentine’s Day 2025: Global Pulse of Love shows that AI-driven love messages, eco-conscious luxury gifts, and experience-based gifting are redefining the way people express love across the world.
Wizikey’s report is based on data collected from global media narratives, consumer behaviour, and key market trends. They found some interesting trends in how love is being celebrated in the digital age. To begin with, while traditional gifts like flowers and chocolates remain staples, people are now opting more for personalised and experience-based gifts. AI-powered love notes, personalised digital messages, and even smart jewellery are some of the most preferred gifting options this year.
Gen Z and millennials prefer experience-based gifts like concerts, travel, wine clubs, and spa days. Meanwhile, Gen X still enjoys classic expressions of love, such as luxury chocolates and perfumes. Also, beauty and lifestyle subscription boxes are a big hit because who doesn’t want a gift that keeps giving?

Micromance, Love Lies In Small But Consistent Acts
Giving another interesting insight into new-age romance, Bumble India’s relationship expert Ruchi Ruuh mentioned the concept of ‘Micromance’. According to her, romance isn’t dead; it’s just getting smaller. People today want small but consistent acts of love, rather than the traditional single grand gestures like big bouquets and degustation dinners.
Bumble’s 2025 Dating Trends report found that 61% of single Indian women find micro-moments like shared morning rituals or an unexpected chai delivery more meaningful than traditional romantic clichés. As many as 50.4% of single Indian women want more romance in their dating life, like swapping digital gestures for personal ones. Interestingly, more than 51.3% of Gen Z single Indians believe that shared humour builds stronger connections. Furthermore, 1 in 3 singles in India feel most appreciated through small, thoughtful gestures, whether it’s surprising them with pani puri after a long day or remembering their chai-to-milk ratio!
