According to Mint, Vaishnaw said in a press conference that this was a “Make in India” idea, meaning it was created by Indian engineers and professionals. Thus, throughout the operation of Vande Bharat, whatever feedback they received from the field units regarding the ACs, restrooms, etc. was used to enhance the design.

Moreover, the train will feature a new safety feature called anti-climbers or anti-climbing devices. They would be standard features in all the Vande Bharat and other trains.

A video of the Union minister inspecting the new Vande Bharat train has surfaced. When asked about the change in colour, Vaishnaw responded by saying that the new colour is inspired by ‘Tricolour’. Even, this new coloured Vande Bharat train is expected to roll out later this month.
