“Vande Bharat Is Going To Turn Into Sh#t,” Passenger Slams Authorities For Dirty Coach; Shares Photos

Vande Bharat trains are literally the pride of India. These semi-high-speed express trains are operated by Indian Railways. The trains come equipped with advanced technologies and are known to be exceptionally clean. However, one such train made headlines for the wrong reason. A passenger recently criticised the authorities for the unclean state of the train he was travelling on. Here’s more on the incident.

A passenger named Ashish Prakash, who goes by the username @ashishprakas, recently took to X to share his experience. He posted two images of the Vande Bharat train he was travelling on. From the photos, it could be seen that the coach was indeed unclean, with dirt accumulated between the seats.

The user tagged the authorities and even Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister of Railways. He complained that if this is how the trains remain, their condition would only deteriorate in the future. His exact statement was, “If this is the way you keep cleaning trains, days are not far when Vande Bharat is going to turn into shit. Most people in India don’t follow civic sense.”

Not The First Complaint Made By A Passenger 

This isn’t the first time a Vande Bharat train has come under fire for cleanliness issues. Just last month, another passenger complained to Indian Railways about the poor condition of a coach. He reported missing hand dryers, soiled seats in the washroom, and filthy tables and seatbacks. An inquiry was launched, and the issues were immediately attended to.

Just like before, netizens reacted to the viral post and shared their opinions. One user wrote, “Railways can’t do magic without travellers’ help. We need to develop a keen sense of cleanliness in our surroundings, wherever we are. People spit tobacco on a clean surface to see how well they can paint the wall. That’s our irony.” And honestly, we agree with this opinion. No matter how much the authorities clean the trains, if passengers continue to litter the coaches, the situation will never improve.
