This particular project will connect the neighbourhood in Andheri, Versova, to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The project is a part of the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. It will be a total of 17.7 kilometres long and will have eight lanes in total.

This will help in reducing traffic congestion. The cost of the project which was initially estimated at ₹4,045 crores has now risen to ₹11,333 crores, according to an India Times article. The construction of this project began in the year 2019 and is supposed to end in the year 2027.

The sea link will have controlled access which means that only fast-moving vehicles will be allowed on the sea link. This also means that public transport vehicles will not be allowed.

Most of the people in the working class in Mumbai travel via public transport as that is the only affordable way to get around in Mumbai. This means that most people would not be able to avail of this bridge unless they own a four-wheeled vehicle.
